99 Monte setting P0102 DTC, cleared and returned, car stumbles at speed and dies when getting off the gas (stop sign, turn, things like that) new filter, cleaned MAF, no vac leaks. any ideas? thanks for any help

I have also gotten this code from a broken MAF wire. So you may also want to try checking that to see if its broken (usualy up by the plugin)

went through and everything checks out with wiring, went so far as to replace MAF and now it will not idle when hotand hesitates fron a stop when hot

Try spraying some starting fluid around the intake and vacum lines. See if the idel goes up. Have you scaned the car to see if the MAF is in the proper range?

no change in idle when sprayed and the tech 2 reads the proper range. all this started shortly after i changed the w/p low coolant light is on and the only dtc is P0102...people at work are unable to come up w answers (GM Dealer). just lost but i thank you for your time and ideas. if we figure it out will post back

Are you losing coolent? Is your car supercharged? If not it could be your plastic intake has cracked and is leaking into your combustion chamber.

none s/c doesn't appear to be leaking coolant but there is a strong fuel smell near intake, press reg has vac and no leaks car seens to be hot after 10 miles or so ans shift points are off intermintely .... electrial?

Try doing a pressure check on the cooling system.

I'm starting to think you have either a cracked intake or blown intake gasket.
